The Rickenbacker Club Part Nine

For those who have not been around here for very long, the group shot constituted the first Rickenbacker "confluence" at Ric5's place back near Detroit back in summer 2004. Most of them belonged to Jeff, three to me (I sold one to Jeff that night), and maybe a couple to Steve Cooper. Just the three of us for Ricks, burgers, and beer.

Thanks! It's just a regular ol' Jetglo 4003 with the black pickguard. I think it looks super sharp, the chrome really sets it off.

I never really gave Jetglo much thought until I saw this one. My holy grail bass used to be a 1972/73 4001 in Mapleglo with checkered binding. But after seeing this, it makes me want to ditch my 2009 4003 in Mapleglo for a Jetglo with a black pickguard. Either a newer 4003 in Jetglo with the 2-piece neck, or a 1972/73 4001 in Jetglo with checkered binding would suffice.

That bass is killer!

Small plug to Heath Cave, too (no affiliation other than having had the opportunity to try the B-Drive Mk II ) I do plan on getting one for myself at some point.
