The same amp sold for twice as much!!!

Last week I listed my Ampeg b200r on eBay. It was the only b200r on ebay at the time. It sold for $250 (plus $50 shipping). Right after mine sold another one was listed on eBay. Once again it was the only b200r on eBay. Both our amps were in very good condition. Anyway, his sold today...for $505 (and $50 shipping). $255 more than mine!!! Ridiculous. And who pays $505 for a b200r?

It happens. I have had the same type of thing happen on feebay. Sometimes in my favor, sometimes not. I watched a guitar sell for $1500. I had one exactly like it so I decided to sell mine. It was in nicer shape than the one that sold earlier. Mine sold for $850.00. You win some, you lose some.

Isn't that more than they were new or at least what they were new?

I had that happen a few years ago with a set of drums. I was selling the exact same set down to the number of pieces and the color, except mine was in better condition. The other auction got a few hundred more than mine.
