Found myself gleefully singing this slightly after noon

I heard that song being sung by all but one of the players at a poker table in the casino one night. The person not singing was being evicted by security. I thought it was tacky of the other players, funny, but tacky.

Seriously:- I don't know what it is about Blues that keeps calling me back.
I go on musical expeditions all the time, learning new songs and styles, looking for new musical experiences.
But then I stop and just come back to the Blues for awhile.
Actually that's what I've been doing for the last week.

Yeah, it does. The blues is the foundation for me. Even when I was an adolescent I liked the more blues based rock songs and didn't realize why.

It is an absolute shame more people don't know of her. Even a lot of blues players have little or no idea who she was, and what she did for music. Not many women singing and playing guitar (or any instrument) at that time, and certainly not with her intensity.

Entirely off topic.... but I did get to see SRV just before his rise to the top and got to work his stage. First time I met Tommy Shannon, a truly awesome guy as well as my hero bassist. Always knew I wanted to be a blues based bassist and Tommy Shannon sealed it for me that day...... Carry on Gentlemen.
