Thanks. This one definitely has a different look. It reminds me of a "black leopard" and it growls, too!

I emailed PJ and he said it was a variant of quilted maple. This one is Forte 4 #009 completed 3/2/10.

ps: The white NS-2A I bought from you was my 1st Spector.

that is exactly what I was talking about when I said you'll get the fever!!! LOL! I don't know anyone who has tried a Spector that didn't own a couple when it was all said and done!

...keep me in mind if you ever wanna part with the white NS-2A. I still would like to convert one into a fretless someday!

You know what is super cool to me about our beloved Forte's? IF (and monetarily-wise that's a big IF) I was buying a brand new NS-2, this is pretty much how I'd spec it out anyway. I loooove matte. I love black. I love black hardware.

I really like the crown inlays that can let you ID a Spector at a 100 paces but the naked fretboard is just cool. Really lets that Pau Ferro show off.

The only thing I'd change now that I've tasted it is the Haz. I gotta have the Haz.

Hello Forte club! I recently purchased a Forte 4 # 011 dated 03/19/2010. Picked it up at the store and could not put it down! It was a little more than I wanted to spend almost 2 years ago. It stayed at the store, never sold and I finally bought it! Best decision in Bass purchases I have ever made! I tried uploading pics but had issues...
