First phase of the Squier Project was to get a BadAss Bass II bridge on it. Phase complete.
The next phase was to get some inlay decals installed and looking proper while maintaining playability. This was something of a trick, but I'm happy to say this phase is now complete.
After a little rethinking and a lot of patience combined with trial and error has yielded a slick, even fingerboard free of buzz with a deep, rich, throaty sound to it (used softer polyurethane as opposed to an epoxy system in a successful attempt to add some 'mwah'). Oh, did I mention it looks GREAT? The roman numeral inlays look fabulous.

The next phase of the project will be a figured maple pickguard with a wenge bass clef inlaid into it. After that, I plan to rebuild and rewind the pickups, rewire the electronics, shape the neck, and maybe carve some wooden pickup casings.
This project, complete with guitar, was my Christmas present from my family. I'm ecstatic
