Thanks for posting those links! I'm Screaming Stone - I'm the musician behind the Stolen Music Instrument Recovery Project - what I do is help musicians get back their stolen instruments by publicizing instrument thefts to other musicians. The more people looking the better chance we have at finding the instruments and getting them back to the musicians. There's thousands in rewards just for locating the instruments - if you find them on Craigslist, Ebay, a pawn shop... you get rewarded.
Check the site www.ScreamingStone.com for a list of stolen gear and a map of locations where gear has been reported stolen so you can see what's been stolen in your city.
We all realize how much instrument theft sucks - and the police recover less than 3%. Its time we did something to help out other musicians and help get their gear back.
