I've been experimenting with going stereo with my UA + Venus, by having the dry pass from the Venus going into the UA. Venus stays clean and I set the UA with some grit / tonestack bypassed so they end up complementing each other well.Thanks for your responses!
Yeah, I've seen all videos I could find on both pedals on YouTube. But an issue is that I haven't seen them together, and that most people don't give you the clean tone to compare with.
I'll probably end up being pretty happy with either! But I have had a Fender Bassman (135) as my main amp in the past, and been very happy with it – and I don't play rock (more muted P-bass with flats-stuff). So maybe the UA is the better bet for me?
I do have room for "one overdrive and one preamp" on my board – so I did consider using those two slots for one larger Sushi box. However, when I purchased my chorus pedal from Analogman, I also added a Sun Face to the order, thinking I'd give it a go, and maybe sell it to my band-mate. But "sadly" I kinda dug it for bass, so I think that will take up the "drive slot".
So that's why I looked at the UA and Elementary (with an added bonus that they can saturate a bit if I want an alternate drive sound).
(To give some more context to my signal chain: My board has outgrown the power my Noble can provide, so I'm selling it and seeing if I can recreate some of the sound in other ways. Which amp I use vary so much that I'm not basing my sound on the amp – I want to do it all from a compact pedalboard. But I also want to run things in stereo this time around! I did consider going for 2x Finally under the board (2x Neptunium isn't practical). But what's currently leading is going for a Sushi Box pre as an always-on tone-shaper up top plus a Lightning Boy 23Fe, and then end up in a Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo DI. That one is supposed to be pretty sterile (so that's why I'm trying to add some flavour with 23Fe and Sushi), but it's very compact, and importantly: Can sum the thru signal.)

The UA arrived and it provides everything I had hoped. It adds nice "weight" and low end to each note, while not taking away any articulation or getting tubby. I love how much or little you can push the overdrive. I have it on just the edge of breakup, but not going to far (for me). The UA and the Messenger Jr compliment each other beautifully. I already adjusted my "small but mighty" pedal board. I'm sold on the UA right away!

I'm trying out this combination today at a gig. I'll be playing through a backlined Fender Rumble, and relying these two SB pedals to make it sound cozy. (I'm not good at arranging pedals neatly)
Either a PBass, or a JBass, both passive. Less often an Hofner (passive also). All of the three with flatwounds.
Don't buy a small pedal to suit the pedal-board, buy a bigger pedal-board, super-big !!!
If I remember my Norwegian.....Kjempestor !!!!!!!! ( Last time I was in Norway was 1976)

Ahh, similar to me. Did you ever try the P direct into the MORE? I'm wondering about that bit the most. But also just picked up a Fake Plastic Trees by Audio Kitchen, so can't help but wonder what that into the MORE would sound like as well!!
I don't have anything meaningful to contribute to the conversation, but I just want to let everyone know that seeing pedalboards with Sushi Box pedals on them will never fail to make smile.

Those EQ settings on your Underground Accelerator looks suspiciously close to my preferred EQ settings on my EHX English Muff'n, a tube driven preamp/overdrive, that is based on one of the early, heavily Fender inspired, Marshall amps, and which, as far as I understand, also utilizes a Fender style tone stack.

Yep! My understanding is that the UA is based on the Fender tone stack and is tube driven, like you've described. I think the UA is Fender-ish, but has its own sonic nuances. Decades ago I had an Alembic F1X, which is also based off the Fender tone stack. That preamp could be described as a more pristine and polite tone, but unfortunately got buried in the mix. Conversely, the UA brings the power into the tone that I believe will make presence huge in the mix.
