Thanks, that gives me a good idea if/when it was working/where it might be angry. So it's trying to send email, I do see someone flagged an ip we're sending from as Spam. Guessing some remote servers are flagging it...hurray logs to dig through.

It was in my spam folder, unfortunately even when i mark as not spam and choose to receive future emails they all still go to spam.
I got a few questions about that Smoke Signal:
-Are those two tubes in there for the two channels or are both channels utilizing both tubes?
-Does one of the channels have more gain / nastier / different breakup than the other or is it possible to dial in two different clean sounds?

I got my email, but it was sorted in "promotions" via gmail, even though I have gotten his before..

I used a card, and didn't get an email. I usually use Paypal.
Thanks everyone, I see what was wrong and it's fixed now (related to Spam filters + sender identity verification). If you didn't get an order email, you should be able to just login to the site and see your order.
The email more than likely would have gone to your spam or promotions folder if it did come through. If it didn't come through, it's because the host rejected it at the host level due to the Spam/validity checks (and it never made it to your mailbox at all).

so a 12AX7 is what we call a dual-triode, which means it has two stages. The blue (clean) channel of Smoke Signal uses two of them, the red (dirty) channel uses all four. Obviously this means that two of the stages are shared between the two channels.The channels are voiced very differently, as mentioned above. The red channel is very much a gain channel and the blue channel is very much a clean channel. The blue can drive a little when cranked, and the red can clean up a little when the gain is dialed back, but they are clearly a clean channel and drive channel.
Originally I was planning on using this as a stand alone preamp, but depending on how it goes I might end up using this as a fattener and drive into a tube DI. Oooohhh the possibilities!I guess I'm the person to answer this, as nobody else has one yet

I have not tried the SS yet but my past experience with this sort of set up means that the blue/clean channel will be clean to crunch depending on your input and gain setting. The red/lead channel can be warmish clean to crunch to very saturated again depending on your input and gain setting. Limiting your input and gain will clean up the red channel and you can make that output loss up with the volume. The benefit of that is the tone section of the red channel will have often have a richness due to having 4 gain stages over 2 of the blue. This will be especially telling when you start pairing your other dirt pedals with the SS the difference between the BLUE/RED can be explosive. Using a clean or character boost will add to the fun as well.
@el murdoque you have already heard the difference that the PA has made, the UA adds nicely on top and the SS I expect will give us even more tonal magic to enjoy.
This is why a lot of discriminating guitar players use multi stage tube amps, many quite exotic rare and expensive, for clean tones. It is also the main reason for the recent rise for so many boutique amp brands and the popularity of pedals like the Smoke Signal and it's inspiration.
