Well, instead of selling them out in 15 seconds, it took 20 minutes. Twenty minutes where bassists (and probably guitarists, is there a thread like this on talkguitardotcom ? ) around the globe chewed fingernails, yelled at their internet routers to go faster and their blood was reaching pressure levels more commonly found in SUV Tires.
All in all, a spectacular outcome.

I'm glad the website is more or less back to normal now. I'm at my kid's piano lesson right now, and immediately afterwards meeting up with a guitarist that wants to check out Sashimi Fuzz. After that I plan to open up November ordering. Maybe around 4pm central? I will of course let everyone know.
And a quick note about Fluffy Kitten:
Each JFET is individually biased, and before shipping I bias them for a balance between noise and gain. If you want more gain and are okay with more noise, or if you want less noise and are okay with less gain, you can play with the internal trimpots for bias.

Yup, correct. It's designed to be high gain, but you can dial it back with bias.

It immediately got that song playing in my head. Especially the ni-ee-iine.
I offload the website logs to a personal server so I can analyze stuff like this. The logs are in UTC time and MST based, so this "6" == when FK dropped. The site saw a spike from the normal 300-500hits in an hour, to 2,548 hits.

Having a few people on your site constantly hitting refresh when a new limited product is due is to be expected.
Five times the average load should, with a capable hoster, not make much difference in the user experience.
