I'm taking a quick snack break, so now seems like as good a time as any to give a description of Fluffy Kitten. I'll get it updated on the website soon as well.
Fluffy Kitten is a high gain distortion using a low-voltage JFET setup. Each JFET stage is manually biased to play nicely with the others, with the goal of getting as much rich gain as possible without oscillation. It will still get noisy as you crank the gain though, as you would expect of a high gain circuit. Fender style tone stack with capacitors tweaked a little for more low end. Plays well with guitar and bass.
Controls:
Bite = Gain
Meow = Presence
Rawr = Volume
Growl = Bass
Purr = Mids
Hiss = Treble
Takes 9-12V input, but actually now that I think about it I think it can go up to 18V. I'll have to double check. Typical polarity protection I put in everything so polarity of input doesn't matter. Super low current draw, like it doesn't even register on the lab power supply that I use for current testing. Safe to say less than 10mA.
