It's a little scary as I can't help thinking something in the brick's about to melt while that extra current is being pulled! I checked my numbers and am maxing around 1800mA on a brick rated at 3000mA, so there's nothing to worry about there.
But I tried moving the connector to a different output (a 500mA one instead of a 100mA one

) and it seems to have taken care of the issue, at first test. Supposedly the CS12 doesn't have to obey its posted current limits, but maybe the internal layout of separate banks in the brick does have some bearing.
Might be good info for those of us who run this supply. I'd be terrified of running even one more tube pedal on this now though heh
