In your experience, what is the best throb you've heard from a Vibe-type pedal?

I'm talking about VIBE, an *effect* used fairly well by Jimi Hendrix etc.
(I own plenty of Tube amps, use them exclusively)

Well, there's the Fulltone Deja Vibe, Drybell Vibe Machine, and if you really want to go full-on, vintage correct, there's the Unique Vibe, which sounds/looks fantastic in the clips I've seen of it.

Throw some reverb on top of vibe and virtually any of the name brands will get you there.

FWIW, the absolute best vibrato I ever heard was coming off a Magnatone Stereo Twilighter guitar amp. It has one of the few built-in true vibrato (as opposed to tremolo) circuits out there.

The Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe is awesomely thick and murky on bass. Running distortion or fuzz in front of makes it even more awesome, and somehow makes the pulses of the vibrato more articulate.

In case it's helpful to hear an example, here's a link to a track I played on featuring the Micro Vibe on bass. The track with the Micro Vibe is "Trini Blues." The Micro Vibe is on through the whole song; I also used a Rat and an Effector 13 Soda Meiser at various points on the track.

So far the Lovepedal Vibronaut, EQD The Depths have my attention since they have the ability to change the character/voice of the effect to get it more throbby, deeper, bassier etc.

I've never used mine with my bass, but it is a gorgeous sounding pedal

having owned both the Voodoo MicroVibe and EQD Depths, I must say I consider both to be fantastic but I would consider The Depths much THICKer.

Yes, the throb and voicing do add quite a bit to the fullness, but I find the intensity range much more than the MicroVibe and that's where I try to establish the big fat sound.

I was playing a Pedulla Pentabuzz through an Aguilar TH500 into a Bergantino 212 (I think a CN but I can't recall exactly). The vibe on the Nebulus was wonderfully thick and meaty (ewww....), but that may have had as much to do with the bass and amp/cab set up than it did with the pedal itself.

For clarity, the OP should have said "Uni-Vibe". "vibe" is the nickname, but the Uni-Vibe by name made the sound originally. In guitar-centric signal processing, vibrato is something different.
