tomato is a fruit, but is a banana an herb?

Hehe me too!Cherry tomatoes rule. Normal ones are great if sliced and with some gourmet salt (flake salt) sprinkled on them. Especially if "accompanied" by some rucola salad and feta cheese.
I put ketchup only on food that doesn't taste good as it is, like plain french fries or pasta. It's OK, but I prefer a good sauce over ketchup any day

I have yet to taste a good tomato soup, I normally can't stand them. I don't enjoy tomato based, cooked food that much. Pasta bolognese is also not my favourite, unless it contains a lot of sourcream (creme fraiche). Then it's actually really good. Perhaps I would enjoy a tomato soup with creme fraiche? Should try it some day...
You put ketchup on pasta?
Please tell me "pasta" is Finnish meatloaf.

I can't believe I'm doing this...
The Camel's Tomato Bisque
1 6 pack of Pale Ale(for drinking, no beer in this recipe)
1 can Tomato Soup
Equal amount of milk
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp oregano
pinch of minced garlic
1 12 oz package shredded cheddar
1 tomato
Fresh cracked pepper and sea salt
Sauce pot. Pour tomato soup in. Pour milk into can of soup. Pour into sauce pot. Stir. Get it hot. Stir. Add basil, garlic, and oregano. Stir. Once it gets real hot, add cheese and get a hand blender. Blend until soup turns orange. Stir. Dice tomato. Pour into pot. Salt and pepper to taste.
That could actually be ok, if served with also a fresh garlic baguette. But I'd replace those sad dried herbs with a handful of fresh ones and add a little creme fraiche. Oregano is ok as dried but I think I would leave that one out from this recipe.
I liked the way the beer was used in the recipe.![]()
So...I just polished off a cup of tomato soup for lunch and I have to say; it was wonderful! I love, love, LOVE tomato soup. I don't think I've ever had a bad tomato soup. And on the rare occassion that I have a burger, it swims in ketchup. Nothing better than a greasy burger with ketchup dripping from it! But I think the most disgusting food in the world has got to be the tomato. I can't stand them. I don't even like them to be in the same room as my food; let alone on my food. Everyone thinks I'm wierd. Anyone else out there feel this way?
I have an herb garden, I just used dried because that's what most people have...just double up on the fresh. It's actually better with just 4 tbsp's of basil(fresh) and then salt and pepper...
Try it without the creme fraiche first, you'd be surprised.
And sprinkling feta on top before you eat it is preferred...and a baguette, of course.
You are weird...
