Uh oh, it looks like project tone wood is getting a finish applied! Yep, that's right the longest running build in Redeemer History is just about ready to wrap up.
I took the opportunity to use this bass as a guinea pig for a dye process that I've been wanting to try. Although I'm happy with the results, I should have masked the part of the neck that shows on the front of the bass as the pecan did not accept the dye well (closed pore wood doh!!) I left the cavity cover unfinished in this photo to show the before and after difference. I call it Sedona Red can any one guess why?
