This is Altina Schinasi. She is the subject of today's Google Doodle. She was an accomplished artist, designer, and filmmaker. What she is most famous for, however is the invention of the "Harlequin" eyeglass frame, which most of us call "cat-eye" glasses. (The Far Side's Gary Larson owes her a lot.) And she clearly liked cats.
