Maisy lost her outdoor privileges today. She's been running over the back fence to acreage land where coyotes prowl - and we watched (sorry no shots) her come almost nose to nose with one. She was on top of a 6' fence looking down as the dog came towards her, but, I think because it didn't bark or growl, she didn't back away as it got close below her. I thought I was going to see it jump up and grab her, but it stayed calm and down. Stupid cat walked away from us down the fenceline, reappeared 2 hours later, was at one point spotted on a concrete block the coyote was sitting on 15 minutes earlier 
She hasn't been in a harness in 2+ years, but one was tested today. It's a little short, I told my daughter it looks like she takes tiny geisha steps with her front paws, at about a ratio of 6:1 per her back paw stride, so her gait is low and slow and mincing lol.
