were not enough to prevent total wild animal mode at the vet’s, where no exam was conducted and no bill was presented, unless this counts. Witnessed by doc and her assistant. Blow em up for the gore.
Ouch.
I recommend rose gardening gloves. Leather palms and protection to your elbows. (p.s. Might want to be sure your tetanus vaccine is current.) I hope you can forgive each other soon.

The assistant had elbow length welder’s gloves and experience, and wanted nothing to do with cat. They have prior experience and gave me a DOUBLE gavopenten(sp?), for night before and day of. She was relatively docile on the drive, which is a big change from stressed out ‘nope!nope!nope’ crying on other occasions. Vet said no chance and suggested stronger drugs for another try, I declined for now. She was polite and discussed another minor concern and made a potentially helpful suggestion, and didn’t charge me for the visit. Cat was still totally doped at home, slept the next 6ish hours sleeping in a couple unusual places.
