I play drums, bass, and guitar. I learned them in that order. In my opinion, drums is the easiest to pick up, followed by bass, with guitar being the hardest to learn initially. But as to actually being creative and finding your own sound, guitar was the easiest, followed by bass, with drums being struggle.

In short: Bass is easier to learn than guitar, but harder to master.
