What I have is the One Strap, which is all-suede and less expensive. The leather is incredibly supple and the suede backing means it doesn't slip around on your back (may be useful for your neck-heavy bass). I got the 4" model which makes your bass feel half as heavy, and makes electric guitars disappear.

I will certainly be looking out on eBay for them - thanks for the tip, rusty.

I love mine too, but it's not as wide therefore can't distribute the weight over as large an area on my shoulder.

I preferred the Levy's to Comfort Strapp. It's swank, 3" wide, and ultra-comfy.

The straight leather Levys look very nice, but I've never found a really short one. I have two Comfort Strapp Shorts, and they're the only non-guitar strap that's short enough for me. Very comfy, too.

I have a 3" Levy's. It's not wide enough.

That's way too long for me. I wear mine at about 33-35".

i wear mine about as high as mark king....rested right up under my armpit.....sometimes..but usually i set my strap as to where it is as if im sitting down in a classical position so its in the same place if im sitting down or standing

Actually I use mine as suspenders. I like my pants Steve Urkel-style.

Really though, I'm 5'8" and I wear my bass fairly high (like this) . More than 35" usually drops the bass down to my lower stomach.

i just got the august issue of bass player..why cant there be an australian version , but anyway, i saw the planet waves squid...i wouldnt mind trying this..although for you wide strappers you'd have to get a 2" wide one

I just modified the postal bag strap, by taking the strap ends off a neoprene strap I'm not using and the quick verdict is....D*MN!!! I do not feel the bass on my shoulder! Really comfortable! Well worth the $30.

Yeah, pretty much how I did mine. I'll never go back to a Comfort or Levys!!

This is why Talkbass is dangerous and useful- it causes me to think about starting a project like modifying a mail carrier strap for bass, but causes me to spend money. *Castle Anthrax nurse voice on* Evil, naughty, evil Talkbass. *and off...*

What is the range of adjustments for the Shokstrap?
Might I be able to mod it with a Ernie Ball Nylon strap(1.5 or 2 inches...?)

Thanks for the heads up on this strap. I just ordered two, one to mod into a bass strap and one for the giant mailman-like shoulder bag I carry my tools, books and misc. gig stuff in.

That's way too long for me. I wear mine at about 33-35".

I took mine to a shoe repair place and got another hole punched in it, it cost 5 bucks and now I can make it so short it won't fit around my body if I want too.
