course, its been nearly impossible trying to find an SA210 to go w/ my lubby rig, but the berg HS210 i just got from joey squid should be close enough. ;)

I'm the same as Plain o.M. U can get 'em still here in Aus- at -typically ridiculous prices-damn Govt. Damn Li'l Johnny Howard!!!!!!!! U think he could Brown-nose G.Dubya Bush a BIT more & get the triple tax off????? Come on Johnny- U don't need it!!!!! Just put ONE tax on 'em, That way the gear would be like- a $1000 US amp would cost about $1500 here. Now its X 3.5 -so $1000 US amp casts about $3500AUD + more!!!!! :-(

George at www.bassgeardirect.com.au does great prices on Sadowsky gear out here in Aus. I noticed he was selling a new SA200 on Ebay but noone went for it. You should talk to him if you're in the market, great bloke.

Hey Rod boy,
If you check the prices at Bass Gear direct and compare back to the US street prices or retail you'll see his prices are pretty comparable taking into account the difference for any duties and international shipping. I would love to have seen what the SA200 would have been selling for if one of the major retailers had them. My guess would be $5k + knowing the ridiculous margins they or the distributors work on. Either way someone is making a decent cut, distributors or retailers or both. Thank god for guys like George at Bass gear direct and Dave at Greensquare whose prices are very reasonable.
Regarding, the SA200 - I've heard it and I luv it. It's the sweetest, most luscious tube amp I've heard. Gonna see if I can talk "turkey" with George down to $3700 for the amp only. Wish me luck !

I've got one and it's a great amp. It has an amazing range of tone. I usually run it through an Aguilar GS 112 or GS 212, but am wondering how it would match up with the Sadowsky 410. The amp is well made and sounds great, just like the basses. I guess tube amps are niche product nowadays. IMO this is a good one.

If one of you could go ahead and do lots of cosmetic damage to one of these then sell it to me on the cheap ... that'd be greaaaaaat.

I'd love to try one, I'm just priced out.
+1. I played through one at Bass Club here in Chicago for an hour or so--it was bee-yoo-tiful.:crying:

compared to the sa410, the gs' are much smoother in the mids and airier up on top. the sa410 has way more lower mids and a thicker upper midrange.

Ya I know- I've spoken to George on a few occasions & would've DEFINATELY bought a SA410 off him at a great price-for a GREAT cab- if a Berg NV610 didn't come knockin at the same time at a better price (2nd hand) I aint knockin George at Bass Gear Direct-IMHO I think he's doin a GREAT job at getting into AUS great gear at GOOD prices & being an alternative to the main retailers-of which -most SUCK..BIG TIME...Most-not ALL!!! I Just have NO $$$$$$$$$ atm. So a SA200 is OUT of the question. As much as I'd LOVE one.:bawl:
I'm just a bit miffed at AUs Govt.'s double dipping on music gear!
