Quick question for Nino. Do you have to Ground the Chrome Pickup Cover to anything or do you just screw it straight threw the pickguard into the bare wood?

How is the low B string on his 35" basses?
I love everything about that except the bridge.34" or 35". Here is the 1st (and so far only 35") J5 I built:

Either one can be top load or through the body but I do not offer string through the body basses.I get confused as to the 'A' model and 'B' model bridges from Hipshot. But I know that the other one feels comfortable and can be top load oor thru-body.
This one just doesn't work for me.
My favorite Valenti so far. Great job Nino! Now all you need is to be able to build this in a 6 string!!
Nino,
Not wanting to bother you - I own #15 (Steve Poon's bass), bought it last Summer/Fall.
My question concerns the truss rod adjustment screw - the bass has not reacted well to WA state weather this winter and really needs an adjustment. My other basses all use an allen hex wrench for the adjustment - this bass has a normal straight screwdriver nut. Is there a special "bent screwdriver" that works to fit in the truss rod slot for adjustment, or do I need to remove the neck to adjust the rod?
Take care,
Jay
All you need is a long shafted screw driver. It is unnecessary to take off the neck.Nino,
