The Valentines Day Thread...

What are you doing for Valentines day? Are you taking your SO out? Or are you spending some alone time in your bedroom?

Me? I'm in a new relationship (6 days) and have bought her a giant box of chocolates (which we'll probably share as we stay at home all night studying). That's really about it... we're both incredibly busy and have agreed to take a rain check for me cooking her dinner next week. Stuffed Manicotti. Mmmm.

Made the girl some heart shaped cookies today. They're awesome. (chocolate chip but substituted the chocolate chips for pieces of "Hersheys Cookies and cream" bars). Bought some decorations and made plans with her rents to head over to her place while shes at work to decorate her room/ leave the cookies in a heart shaped tin. Im leaving her a note on her car telling her to go home and check her room- Then leaving one in her room telling her to be ready for 7:15 for dinnah.

Ill then come home from school, change, then go get her and we'll be heading out for dinner.

Should be good. Plus i have no class friday so im definately sleeping in.

I'm gonna wake up... fell sorry for myself... eat breakfast... get on the bus and listen to music to hide my frustration... go thru first 3 periods of school a little happy because i can play my saxophone and bass... then go back to being sad... then spend lunch pittying myself... blah blah blah.... i'm just gonna be lonely... I"m the screwge of Valentines

Well, after 20 years, I'm still crazy about my wife--hope there are many others in this situation. Hopeless romantic that I am, I got the following idea from my dad:

I make a big gushy card by hand (just finished it) with the current year and red paper hearts all over the outside. I keep notes of all the stuff that happens to us during the year from one Feb 14th the the next, and then plaster all the events, funny and sober, all over the inside as a sort of family history and review of our life.

She keeps every one.
