Ugh! This thread makes me want to take some vacation and go wood shopping sooooo bad!

That walnut crotch is epic! There is so much movement in that pattern. Simply amazng...

That ash on the tele bass is jaw dropping... It's so luminous, it looks like someone is actually putting a light behind the wood... Soooo jealous.:D

The 60" Ebony arrived this week and last week I received pretty much everything else in this pic. Most of these are wet so they will sit in the shop for a couple of years but I am REALLY excited to build a neck with Ebony laminates!

Thats a whole lot of ebony! I choke just thinking of the cost per bdft. =p

What is to the right of the ebony? It's friggin' gorgeous!

It's a lot less than you would think. To the right is Claro Walnut, Olive, Pau Ferro, Quilted Red Maple, Flamed Western Maple, Bocote, Chechen, and a Nova. But what I think you're asking about is the EI Rosewood. There are better pics on the last page.

just completed gluing up a Redwood burl top set for a new M-Series commission ...

(the color in this image is manipulated so the body outline shows well, the other images are undoctored)

here's a piece of the top (left) and back (right) together with the Cocobolo fretboard blank

and a peek at what the body core sandwich will look like when all glued up to include the Redwood top/back sets, black accent veneers, and flame Maple core

all the best,

update on the Redwood set: you can see how a flame Maple body core is the perfect compliment for a Redwood burl top/back when also seperated by black accent veneers

FYI - there's additional progress images of this build within the Regenerate M-Series thread in the TB Builders Showcase

all the best,
