the worst talk show ever produced

I attended a filming of the Jerry Springer show in the early 90's and I sometimes feel like I still can't wash the stink off.
Still, not as bad as The Chevy Chase Show...It got cancelled after a few weeks.
Sorry friend, that was an official production of the local TV station. It was on every morning at five and Red was an in demand local celebrity. He in fact became quite wealthy selling advertising for his program and the station, and doing endorsements.
We had one that made this look professional by comparison, but i could not find any trace of it on the tube. The Gene Reagan Farm Show was exactly what the title implies.
In all fairness, it probably cost at least $50 to broadcast Joe's show... for the month.

Who was that guy on late night TV in the '80s or '90s who pontificated while smoking a cigar (not Letterman!) Was low quality video, he had grey frizzy hair and wore sunglasses. That was a weird show.
Wait, people watch talk shows? I remember watching Maury as a kid, which isn't far off of Springer, but eventually hit a point where I couldn't call any of it entertainment. My mother talks about some show involving doctors, but it sounded bad as well.
