Watched it last night. Great movie, IMO.

Mickey Rourke did a great job as a has-been pro wrestler in the twilight of his career.

Some of the bloody scenes... oh man. Even my sexy doctor lady friend who works in the ER was cringing.

Saw it tonight. Really liked it. Definitely full of powerful emotions, and lots of comedy.

Doubt was quite good. As a victim of a Bronx Catholic school education in the 60's and 70's, I could really relate. The scenes and sets we very realistic, and Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman were incredible as the Nun and Priest locked in conflict. Gave me chills and provided some uncomfortable but occasionally humorous flashbacks.

The fine cougar (well, almost a cougar ) who picked me up after a recent gig, chose The Wrestler for our first movie. On the valentines day date that was a "didfferent" movie for sure.

For some reason I couldn't remember Ram, but the QR Metal Health rang some bells. The top cats when I watched wrestling were Hulk Hogan, Animal Steele etc.

The movie wasn't all that bad, even though it followed the standard Hollywood plot of discovery and losing that again. I probably wouldn't go to see it again, nor would I buy the DVD. The Golden Lion weighs for something, that's for sure, and the movie is probably be a tremendous boost for Rourkes career, but I think somethin was missing still.

Marisa Tomei was GREAT. I like her and on this film... I'm speechless. Well not, she's SMOKIN HOT . I read somewhere that Nicolas Cage was the producers first choice to play Ram, but Aronofsky protested and IMHO Mickey Rourke was a way better choice.

Finally got to go see this last night. Loved it. Mickey Rourke did an absolutely wonderful job in it. I'll definitely buy the DVD when it's available.
