I noticed too the excessive use of profanity. With the thousands of words in the English language, what is the purpose of every other word some people use is profanity?

I noticed too the excessive use of profanity. With the thousands of words in the English language, what is the purpose of every other word some people use is profanity?
I view them as morons, and from then on, their opinions and inputs are worthless.
Working out one's thoughts is one thing. Having post-baccalaureate education while making 4th grade spelling mistakes tells me that they are morons of the highest order.

Same reason that everything is "Amazing" for the lack of more appropriate descriptive adjective. The use of Instantaneous for instant, or instantly, because nobody including media are so grammatically inept.
to those of you who agree with the op, what about using caps and proper puncuation? just as bad?
I used to be a grammar Nazi until one of my posts correcting another person's post was corrected by a third person. (Yes, that is a grammatically correct sentence.)

And who the heck made "troop" a singular noun??? (Yes, that is incorrect punctuation.)

Well, in your case it should have been written "they've fallen" or "they fell".
Other than that, your post makes no sense anyway. What does rock and roll or dancing have to do with whether (not weather) or not you have a firm grip on basic English language skills? I never said "then" is the devil. Calm down.
In my experience, the posts that end with "Sorry for my poor English" usually contain BETTER spelling than the average TB post.
I'm pretty much with the OP. I don't expect perfection, but some folks are just plain lazy.
Indeed, quite often. Im left to wonder whether the ESL posters know English better than some of the people raised speaking it, or if they just put more time/effort into posting a clear, concise message.

I once misused regime when I meant regimen.
While fruitation isnt a word, so far as I know, prostrate is correct.
