Thicker gauge & brass nut question...

Hey guys, wassup?
I might be getting the Dean Demonator 4 sometime next month.My intention is to string it BEAD.Can this be done on a brass nut(as it has one)?Is filing the nut required?

Yes, you can string it BEAD.

Yes, you will probably have to file the nut.

Sure thing! It can work with a bone nut as well. You have to file the nut, because they are (mostly) made for medium string gauges. If you have for example a .105 E string and you want to replace it with a .130 B string, then the B string will be a little bit too thick to fit in the nut.

This will probably has to be done with all 4 nut holes (or however they are called )
