Thin Bass Strings

Alright I heard that thinner strings are better for tapping and are they also better for harmonics? Bc Victor Wooten is awesome with harmonics but it just so happens he uses really thin strings now I know he's pretty much a master at what he does but I'm sure the strings help and I found these:
Warwick Yellow Label Nickel, .035 - .095, 41230 has anyone used these is so how good are these?

I have several 5 string basses ... I started stringing one of my Rickenbackers with D'addario extra light strings 40 to 125, and most of my basses were strung with 45 to 130. But I am starting to string more basses with the lighter strings. The lighter strings are easier to play and seem to have more haromonics and more mids. The fatter strings seem to have more low end.

I am really liking the .125 low B strings. I seem to have more clarity with the low B.

Every company sells light strings....I think warwick yellows are about 327th on my list of favorite strings. I would recommend circleK first....Then probably these Invalid Link Removed

The problem with thin strings is you lose the FATNESS sound....it doesnt sound as full sounding. I tried a set for 2 days and hated the thin sound it gave....but they were somewhat easier to play and had lower tension....I prefer fuller sounding strings then easier to play..but everyone is different!

I recently tried a set of 30-90s with a 125 B. The tone was a little thinner, but I really liked the clean sound they produced. My problem was that I couldn't adjust to the lighter touch necessary to play such a light gauge string set. Went back to 45-125s, but will likely go back down to 40-100 for EADG. If I would have been willing to tune my 5 string to C#,F#,B,E,A, I wouldn't have taken them off.

I think if you are interested in playing busier bass lines then lighter gauge strings are the way to go. Those who play fewer notes are probably better off with medium/heavy gauge.

I have used Rotosound 30 - 90 for a long time. Great out of the pkg with lots of twang but I find they go dead more easily if your not particular about keeping them clean.
