Fender makes an Areodyne Jazz.
it has P bass pick ups and a Jazz pick up and a Jazz neck....
but not the P bass body.

My P-bass has a '91 Squier Neck on it. It's a '62 RI neck, and it's pretty thin compared to most P-bass necks!

My MIM Precision Special Deluxe has a Jazz neck and a Jazz bridge pickup.

G&L SB-2. It's a p-j configuration, and has a supreme p-bass sound with a 1-1/2 inch nut neck.

or...used Peavey Fury. Classic P-bass with a very thin comfortable neck. They are pretty good stock, or you can do what I did and change out the bridge, tuners and pickups. Now it's a really good p-bass with a thin neck.

But the width is 1.625 like a regular precision according to Fender.com. Unfortunately. I wish they made more P's with nice tops and jazz width necks. I'm thinking of making my own from Warmoth parts. That way I can get something much nicer than a stock Fender.

If it has to be a Fender, look for a California Hot Rod Precision from the late nineties. They were an American PJ with a jazz neck. Typically they came with a see through finish. If I remember there was a Sunrise Tangerine that was really wild.

that's easy. I have 7 Charvels that have a 1-5/8" nut on a very thin neck.

My has a thin profile. It's still wide at the nut like a P bass, just thinner from front to back. Very comfy!

I do the opposite. I put P Bass necks on my Jazz basses, at least my gigging basses. But what you're suggesting is a great option. Others have listed some nice options as well.
