You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you go live in an old age home. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work forty years until youre young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink alcohol, you party, and you get ready for high school. You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back, you spend your last 9 months floating with luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap, then you finish off as an orgasm!" - Jason Alexander
Woody Allen probably stole it. Anyone remember Ants?
I doubt the theft actually occurred. This is what happens when folks use email forwards as their sources.Who is stealing jokes from whom?
I can't believe nobody has mentioned the obvious...
...
You're not serious, are you?
Yes, yes I am.
Besides the thing about Ants, that is true.
Woody Allen probably stole it. Anyone remember Ants?
What are you referring to? What do you think Antz was stolen from?
I remember Antz.
Do you remember Annie Hall?
A bugs life. Everyone knows that.
A bugs life. Everyone knows that.
Sorry man, everybody is wrong. I worked on Antz, and friends of mine worked on Bug's Life. Antz came out first, by a few months. These movies take 3-4 years to make from concept to screen, so while there were a lot of similarities, neither was really copied from the other. I could go into the industry speculation on why this happens (two or more studios make similar movies at the same time), but I doubt anybody here would be interested.
The writer of Antz was a former writer of Pixar, the day A Bug's Life was pitched he was fired.
Pixar had been designing an ant based movie since the 80s anyways so Antz definitely was thought of later, even if it was released first.
Don't get me wrong, Antz was far superior (though much less successful), but it was taken from Pixar.
EDIT: I'm partial to A Bug's Life though and am only using circumstantial evidence and drawing conclusions (which seem obvious to me) based on that.
