Yeah. Our local (Stuart, FL) RS was run by a couple of older guys who knew where everything in the store was and were very helpful.

The store walking distance from my house was run by people that knew their stuff. They got to know me pretty well. I built and repaired a lot of electronic stuff as a teen.

Rail tracks right down the center of a main street... terminating at tanneries and rail yards which left an unbelievable toxic mess by the harbour that's been in the process of cleanup ever since. Also, look at all the canopies and storefront boards...

Funny, that's exactly the town I thought of. I drive over those tracks all the time on my way to my buddies house.
