As a kid I loved going to the airport and watching the planes leave. You could go upstairs above the gates and have a great view. ( and to you youngsters out there, airline planes used to have propellers). :wideyed:

I was 2-4 and flew in a "connie" from miami to pittsburg. It was said that if there wasn't a puddle of oil
on the ground under each radial engine, there WAS a problem.

Never flew on a Connie but would've loved to. Beautiful plane.
