I didn't know until I posted that they were a Gas promotional thing though. They were something we got at the World's Fair.
I've been re-watching Dr Who from the beginning. It's interesting to see how the acting, scenery and plot lines have developed over the years. Currently half way through the Tom Baker years. The acting is far less methodical, the special effects are almost believable and the plot lines are borrowed heavily from the occult. It's also interesting to see how they interpret the future compared to what we currently have.
I have those small toy dinosaurs but mine did not come from a Sinclair gas station. They were in a package with others. Sinclair had lots of dinosaur promotion items.Anybody here know what these are, or have any experience with them. There's something very special about these particular dinosaurs...

Mine came out of the machine you see at the end of this video clip:
Its bizarre to me that my memory is for crap, but I remember this experience pretty well. And I was only 3 years old. I remember my fascination with seeing it being made, as well as the excitement that I was getting the better of the 2 dinosaurs my parents were having made for me and my brother. For some crazy reason, my brother wanted the smaller, less awesome looking one.
I even remember my father having us hold them and not put them in the rear window of the car - because he said they would melt.
There were a bunch of these machines at the Milwaukee Zoo with different animals. I remember the smell of the hot plastic when they first came out of the machine.
Speaking of Remco...are there any more Remco rent-to-own stores?
I don’t know. They appear to still have a business license and they seem to be based out of Plano, Tx, but I don’t see any commercials on them.
Before they “ merged” (I.e: bout out Macy’s and took their name. I loved their spokesman Shadoe Stevens.
That machine is very cool! I never saw that at our local Sinclair station. Neat story too.
