You never hauled 2 refrigerator sized bass cabs all over creation in your youth? You missed out! What I can’t hear you…oh my back! Lol
Had a SVT/810 rig 80-82. Luckily, it stayed in one place for 50 weeks, came down for 2(vacation); lather, rinse, repeat, 50 more weeks, gig ended. Sold it.

I remember when the prevailing opinion was that beepers were only for doctors and drug dealers!

Before cell phones or computers I worked as a Service Tech and we had 24 hour Tech support. I had a Beeper 1 week out of the month. I got paid extra for the week but that thing was a nightmare. You had to find a payphone while you were out having fun with friends. People would abuse the Tech Support by using it instead of looking in the manual for easy stuff. I even had it over Holidays!
I almost get a queasy feeling when I see a photo of a beeper or hear a similar tone.
