Actually those things were probably damaged more by hauling them around than playing them. My son has a similar Sears head and it was re-capped and re-glassed and it cranks…no distortion pedal needed. Ha!

I had one in 4th grade and the teacher did not like it. I think that the paper was a slightly different dimension due to the holes being on the top. Had to conform with the normal 8 1/2 X 11 side-hole format.
Got razzed about it on the school bus by the bullies. "Hey Nifty-fifty". Scarred me for life.

I can't remember the last time I saw any Zenith product.

In college I had a 19” Zenith b&w tv that my parents bought new in 1961 or 62. It would not die. Eventually I got rid of it because the horizontal hold got too fiddley and it only had vhf - channels 2 - 13.
