When I was 12 or so I had one of those toroid ones shown just right of center. Mine was the bright yellow. I don't remember what happened to it. I loved that radio!
Given the style of hair and dress of the blonde in the central aisle, I'll go with ~'80-'82. Right on the cusp of the full-bore '80s upheaval, but with enough of a '70s hangover that slow-to-adapt inductries like furniture would still have such wares on the floor.
One of the kids I went to school with managed to blow himself up! He survived!
