Those old glass thermoses (thermi?) would shatter on the very first dropping. Now you had a fantastic lunch box and the matching thermos was gone. Boo hoo.

Back to school season meant a trip to the Robert Hall store for some new corduroy pants.
Sta-Lox Building Bricks. When I was a kid (late 50’s-early 60’s) we called these “building blocks” to distinguish them from Lego bricks. They were made of a slightly flexible plastic and were pretty much indestructible. Many good play hours spent with these!
I’ve still got some of those tubs with radial tops (upper tight). Those things do not die!
That reminded me of the 'collapsibles' Disney had. You'd push on the bottom and the puppet would collapse, then you'd release the bottom and it would spring back up. Minutes of fun!
