I started to recently think about my uncle's 1990 (I think) Red Spector that was stolen from his apartment in Woodside, Queens in about 1991.
I don't have the SN or anything, but I was actually thinking about if there was any way to actually find it these days....maybe I could have some hope? But perhaps having the SN would be the best bet, huh?)
My uncle might have some paperwork for the bass, he has a knack for holding on to stuff like that (but it's been a few years since I've spoken to him, too). I think he may have purchased it from Manny's Music on 48th St.
I actually played the bass maybe 2 weeks before it was stolen. This one was gloss red...I wasn't into bass back then (played guitar) but I remember it being pretty sweet.
I remember there was a guy on here that used to work in bass sales at Manny's...I wonder if he may know someone who has access to their archives about it....it wouldn't be one of those dime-a-dozen sales.
