Thinking of adding a tube preamp D.I.

I've been looking at the Noble, Simone by Jule and the Curry tube top preamp.. Looking to add a little tube warmth and I love that tube drag... I've found a few things on the Jule and Noble, but just 2 for the Curry..

I've owned the Jule Monique Dovecage/M700 and am currently running the Noble. These are both great products and builders. I can't speak to the Curry. I really love the form factor and functionality of the Noble. And of course the 3d harmonics those tubes throw.

Anything by Jule is excellent. I would probably go with his stuff because he's a great guy who makes great gear, I'm not familiar with the Curry, and the Noble, while very nice, seems to lend itself more to mid scooped sounds than I care for.

EDIT: Just looked up the Curry...looks pretty nice but I have no experience with it.

I found 2 videos on the Curry.. I like the way it sounds in the 1st video, but the 2nd seems to be more of drive which is not what I'm looking for .

I use the @Arkham Sound Bullet into a JDI. It's the best one I've found out there for my needs. Micah has a new preamp out there now, but it's basically the same guts, just a different case. To me, it did exactly what I wanted, it put my 1964 B-15 sound into a small preamp.

I do like the Noble as well, but to my ears it was a bit less colored than the Arkham, and I was looking for more color. Or rather, the Arkham was colored more in the way I liked, more old school. The Noble does have some features that are nice (HPF, super pedal board friendly), but I preferred the Arkham, and ahve been running it for 4 years.

The Arkham was 1/2 the price, still hand built, had the sound I liked better.

EDIT: Micah now has the Oracle, which is the Bullet, in a pedal board friendly case, with a HFP and 2 outs. I'd buy it today if I didn't have the Bullet already.
