In an excited dash to learn everything I could about my newly-aquired '96 Warwick Flashback 4-string, sent an email to the Warwick Product Inquiries, asking the total number of Flashbacks produced.

The response said:

"In its years of production between 1996 and 1998, only 250 to 300 Flashback basses were made. Congratulations on your purchase!"

And that's it. So only 250-300 of these things exist? That's a little hard to believe; what do you think?

I search for Warwicks pretty regularly- going back to 98 or so, when Flashbacks were still being made- & I've not seen a lot of these basses. Congrats on a sweet find, I say.

Hmm, I had a blue 5-string Fortress Flashback, which was the best Warwick I have ever played, but it had to go because of the weight - my back and shoulder would hurt for days after a long gig. I guess the 4-string should be quite a bit lighter, though, so congrats a million on that one, and hold on to it the best you can...!

Were there really only that few of them made? They didn't make another run later than '98? I'm asking because I bought mine "new" in a store around 2001/2002, and it had a very different bridge than yours, a huge steel block going all the way through the body.

Great score! I have always wanted one of those. Had an opportunity to buy one new in 1997 but I got a Thumb Bass instead. Wish I had a do-over on that one. Enjoy that thing!
