This is a new one on me!

Played small holes in wall. Played arenas. Have toured. Been signed. Basically, been there and done that all but the "big" time. I wear a disguise. Not for a gimmick but to maintain a personal life away from the music. One day you too may know how hard it is to balance the two. I've given and received ALOT and this is the only way I can see me joining a band and giving them my all, all over again.
I am young, that's all I will say. "I" don't want to be "famous" per say, I'd just rather do it as "Rob" and not who I really am.
I have ALL pro gear and attitude. Some decent connections. I'm NOT looking to hold a bands hand either. We work as a team or we don't work at all.
For obvious reasons I don't have any material to send ya. This whole "disguise" thing is new. I want to start from scratch and still know that I can do a band good.
Peace and hope to hear from you soon.

Rob

My main interests are rock/hard rock and country. All other forms of music to be considered if present with press kit.
Sounds like a nut case to me. If he ever was "anybody" in the business he wouldn't be trolling CL. I think his fame is only in his head.

I'm always amazed at how people take craigslist ads that are clearly meant to be a joke seriously. This guy isn't very good at it, since it's not a very funny ad, but it's pretty clear that half of what he says is meant to be a joke.

I write funny craigslist ads anytime I need to post something. It gets you more/better responses. And every time, somebody thinks I'm serious/crazy about everything I write.

I'm not finding anything in that ad even slightly funny or sounding like he's joking -
well, except maybe the whole thing.

I have, in the past as part of a show, worn wrestling masks while playing...way before Los Straightjackets were doing it. Of course being 6' 1" and over 300 pounds at the time made it more believable. Singer would introduce me "From parts unknown". Fun times

I think we're dealing with a Kip Winger type of bassist... you know, he's got it all: looks, hair, smile, clothes, pro-attitude and skills. But, he's a total amateur. You gotta wear a wig with the mask to truly hide your identity.

I hear tell that wearing a cape gives you super powers.

One of my more unfortunate wardrobe choices:
