This is the koolest effect related tool

That's a neat idea, wonder that no one's come up with the idea before. Do you know if it works with active volume pedals, like say, from Visual Sound?

It looks like it might work with a passive wah, too...

I still say this seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Hell, if all you want is a couple of volume presets, you can use one of the new Source Audio Pro pedals for that, and still have lots of excellent dirt to boot. With the expression morphing feature, you could even use a Pro as a volume pedal.

It's... kinda cool, but seems a bit pointless.

I mean, if you need two preset levels, you could set them up with preamp pedals, EQ pedals, whatever. All this does is let you set them up hands-free, potentially saving five minutes of set-up time before your set. I'm not sure I can see the market for it to be honest.

Guitarists have been setting clean and dirty levels without issue for... well, forever, without this pedal.

I think if you're going to put out a controller brain product it needs to do more than this.

Well some players use more than one or two pedalboards pedals. And there are so many issues when it comes to volume.

This product wouldn't help.

I would think that one volume pedal could do what that does all by itself. The 1/100 accuracy seems a little silly. It could be good for use with an expression pedal for multi functionality, like tempo, delay time, blend, etc. but can it do that? Or does it just translate the expression pedal to volume? Wouldn't it need an expression pedal out jack? Or two?

I thought it was going be like a programmable triggered slow gear, and I would have been on board. I don't see use for it as it is myself.

I suppose I could see it as a quick way to set a nominal and boost level from gig to gig or bass to bass, but I haven't been itching for something like that. I like finding my settings. :)

Edit::: Where I can (finally) see a use for it is if you have many different songs that require different specific level changes then this would be a great way to set the level early in a song and come back to that perfect level later in that tune. Then repeat that process for 4 other songs in your set. Still not a solution for me, but I can now see how one might get a lot of use out of it.

Do you have any hands on experience with the Apollo pedal?

No, but I still stand by my statement in the linked thread.

What I gather from their video,...you need a volume pedal in order to save the preset volume levels,...but why couldn't the builders just put a volume pot on the unit itself. Seems like an inefficient use of precious pedalboard space to me.

That's not to say that someone couldn't come up with some creative uses for it,...I just don't see it.
