Back on topic: I do know alcoholics who have acomplished the same achivements as the people you mention... But most of the alcoholics I know have really effed up lives...
Same goes with pot... and even without overdoing it.

I know people that don't drink or do any drugs, and their lives are a complete mess.

Be realistic, it comes down to the individual. Some people can handle having a few drinks now and then, and some can't. Same goes for pot.

For the record, I am not a 420 friend.
