Heres a little snippet from the product description on the ad:

What a hot, steamy load of BS.! The strings dont "cut" into the frets. Thats just fear mongering, plain and simple.

I've had guitars shipped to me with wrapping around the strings like that. (Usually a piece of paper.) Kind of like the plastic sheet that goes over the pick guard and other plastic parts.


I like the colorful design, though.

At least the ones that has been shipped like that to me, have had corrosion preventing paper.

Moot IMHO since the stock strings are usually the first thing to be replaced.

I put a small towel on my Stingray as I can hear the strings vibrate when I put the case down (probably not worth doing) Anyway, it's GOOD BY TOWEL! I can't wait to get my fret saver! Just ordered one! Also ordered some striped paint & a left handed screwdriver while on amazon BARGAINS!!!
