This P Bass is so worth $3000...

I mean really... take a look at the pic with the string tree for the E string... totally worth $3K.........

I just don't get it.. am i missing something that makes this worth $3K? Besides that the brand of strings were "Famously used by Sir Paul McCartney, Jack Cassidy, Phil Lesh", i don't get it..

Only if he can prove that that back recess was indeed carved in 1954...that would mean it has a vintage part.

Oh no, another seller grossly overestimating the value of their bass. Can't remember the last time I saw one of those.

My Squier Jazz cost less than a tenth of that and for that they covered up the wiring.

It looks like an aftermarket neck as well, since it has neither logo on the front nor skunk strip on the back.

All in all, I call into question the word "Professional"

Hey...it's a hand crafted instrument with decent quality componant parts. Why is any boutique instrument worth $3000.00? Time an energy put into the craftmanship. It looks like a decent instrument to me....would I buy it? no....but I have no use for a boutique instrument.

Just because an instrument is hand-crafted doesn't make it worth more money. It's only worth more when they person crafting it has proven their abilities and skill. Otherwise it could be a hand crafted piece of dook.

At least it seems better made than some of the stuff we've seen on e-Bay. Still, there are some really odd choices regarding the routing, pickguard, string tree, neck plate, etc., etc., yadda yadda.

One-of-a-kind doesn't necessarily mean valuable. Not $3k valuable, in this case.

As usual, some people want to think that it's the name that matters, not what the name represents.

I guess it could be worth $3000 if he could possibly prove that the neck was made by John Buscarino as he has stated. That guy makes guitars that sell from $8000 to $22000.
Also, I wonder if he can also prove the body was made by Paul Unkert as he has stated.

If he can prove those two things then the $3000 price tag isn't that bad to the right person. After all, who wouldn't want a bass body made by the guy who made guitars for Eddie Van Halen?

so, who actually ASSEMBLED the bass and set it up and all that? They throw around some big names for the body and neck makers, but no mention of who actually put it together.
