It's risky for ebay sellers to ship overseas. Especially now that sellers have virtually no "rights" in terms of feedback or defense against feedback/paypal extortion. So it is important for sellers to ship safely and quickly, without unpredictable factors like customs.

Unfortunate, but true.

+1 to that. Another PowerSeller I know on eBay is dealing with an issue right now in which the buyer doesn't want to pay the customs fees/duty on an item she bought from the states. The seller refused to pay them for her (rightly so) and the buyer filed a dispute with PayPal for non-delivery. Since the package has technically not been delivered, PayPal has sided with the buyer.

Now, the buyer can take the whole original payment, go and pay her duty and fees and keep the item.

I call BS.

:scowl: Its people like that that ruin it for the rest of us who want to buy things overseas.... Why do people find it so hard to grasp that if you import an item to your country, your going to have to pay any applicable duties on it? :spit:

EDIT: And yes, that Devi Box looks like a beast!!

It's a good question, and I hate to say it but it's getting to the point now that I'm considering no longer shipping overseas, especially to Italy. Italy (and France, to a lesser degree) seem to be black holes for anything shipped there.

I'm talking about eBay sales, of course....I'd still ship TB stuff overseas. The people here are in a different class.
