I will. I expect to have a guitarist come over for a songwriting session this weekend. I will see what I get out of the TIs then...and I'll post my opinions here.tekdiver500ft said:Let me know what you think once you've played yours a bit, would you?
Thanks, Joe. I found that post very helpful in giving me an overview comparison. I've only had some experience with Chromes and TI Jazz so it was nice to see them in reference to each other and the other two brands.Joebone said:Over the years I've played Chromes, La Bella Deep Talkin', TI Jazz Flats and Sadowsky flats...I rank order them...
Well, to follow up...I finally had a chance to get together with my guitarist friend this weekend. The TIs removed the "zing" that I don't like from the Rounds. They were plenty clear, though. Using the tone knob on the bass and boosting the Mids on the amp, I was able to get a tone that I really liked. More importantly, it's the tone that he likes. I say that because he's writting originals and has asked me to add the bass lines and to help him write the songs so I think it's more important that he likes the tone since these are his songs...but I REALLY like the tone too.I will.
