I played a Fender American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass in the local music store, and only after I played it, I noticed that the guitar had only 2 volume knobs, and no tone knob.
I really dug the sound, but I liked the american standard as well, and found that I played the american standard a lot more than the 62 because I could change the tone on the fly.
Originally I was looking for a pre-amped guitar, the american deluxe, but they didn't have one, and I want one in the olympic white finish, but like the 62, the aged olympic white.
Fender make the american deluxe's in the aged olympic white, which is more like a light banana yellow, with a red pick guard?
BTW... What are you're thoughts about these guitars?
