Thoughts on the ESP Viper

I'm interested to know if anyone has an ESP Viper and what they think of it. I currently own and play (though not very well) a Dean Edge 1and have been quite happy with it. The Dean is a pretty basic Bass and I have always been drawn to the double-cutaway "batwing" style body. Anyway, I'm curious to know how they sound... are they trebly like a rock bass or is there more crunch and growl? My only issue is that I'm a lefty so obtaining a LH version may be difficult.
