Thoughts on the Fender Modern Player Jazz V

Hey TB'ers, I have my eye on a (used of course) Fender Modern Player Jazz 5 string (2013) Bass that's listed as "very good" condition, and from the pictures it does indeed "look to be" in very good condition and I'm itching to pull the trigger on it based on that, and of the YouTube videos I've been watching of Basses like it. I like the sound, tone and definitely the look of the Bass, but I wanted to sort of get the general consensus/thoughts on this Bass from some who either have or at one time had a Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass; your thoughts on the feel/comfort, playability, tone/sound, weight, versatility etc.. So, Anyone have/had one? How do you feel about this Bass? Thanks.

The only reason I've ever shied away from buying one is the weight, most examples of them I've seen have been in the 10-11 pound range for the 4 string, and upwards for the 5. They are seriously heavy.

GEEZ!! That IS Heavy! My Player Plus Jazz V is 10.4 lbs. and I'm STILL just getting used to that. Thanks Man, Much Appreciated.

There's one for sale so I asked the guy What it weighed? He says it's 10.5oz; an oz. more than my Fender V string. ... just when I thought I couldn't carry one more ounce.

I considered this model of bass at one time but shied away from it due to the weight. I eventually settled on an 2014 Fender American Deluxe Dimension V (9lbs.).
